Woohooooo, here we go! Episcopal consecration without permission is a "latae sententiae" excommunication, ie, the excommunication is automatic and at the instant the offense is committed. www.vatican.va/archive/cod-...

No cheating, reskeet with the most recent photo of your pet.

Lola and Pumpkin are getting more comfortable! Pumpkin loves the bed because it wasn't intended for her and Lola never uses it because it was intended for her. At least somebody likes it!

"Operator culture" as I understand it is basically people who want to LARP as if they're Special Forces, like Navy SEAL style make-believe.

Wow, I hadn't heard anything about that guy in quite a while but that definitely tracks. Birds of a feather and all of that.

Everyone should be on Signal at a minimum, simply because acting like you have nothing to hide until you need it harms all of our privacy rights.
also, it's a great app to use for ordinary everyday chatter. yes it's secure but it's not about being secure, it's about being NORMAL in a way that chat apps mostly fail to be. Having your conversations be ephemeral and not having everything logged somewhere is the normal state of talking to people
Also a huge benefit of using an app just like Signal, in addition to the encryption, is that it's just a normal app and you can blend in with the crowd among people who just use it for ordinary everyday chatter

Huh, interesting. Thanks for educating me! I am sorry to hear it'll be an uphill battle for the sequel. :(

Forgive me if this is an ignorant question, but is the young adult genre based on the age of the characters? If so I never realized, I thought it was just who the book was intended for

This is why following sports is helpful! This phrasing = she's about to be relieved of her duties on a Friday morning and assistant coach Kyle Neptune will be the interim coach for Sunday's game vs. the Pelicans.

they've been targeting increasingly smaller cities and still failing every time, which is a phenomenal sign

they went to LA and failed
they went to Chicago and failed
they went to Portland and failed
they went to Minneapolis and failed

they have neither the numbers nor the will

I feel for the journalists who do believe in these values, and so I spend my money on independent reporters and publications that demonstrate a commitment to truth. The Post is no longer one of them. I gladly pay for my news, but the Post can't spike endorsements or stories and expect my money.
January 26, 2026 at 5:59 PM
Respectfully: I was a subscriber for years but the constant horse-race coverage and sanewashing of Trump led me to spend my money on other publications. While you and other journalists are doing fine work, the Post's editorial board has demonstrated that they do not value a free or democratic press.

This is why you fight it the entire goddamn way, these people do not have the attention span or conviction to see things through if their target doesn't immediately roll over!

i think you should be baseline skeptical of ppl claiming to be ex-Three Letter Agency Cool Shit Doers and/or Understanders. Especially when they hint at or outright say things which would be highly classified if true. Like the existence of a technical surveillance program on a specified platform.

i say this as someone with at least a mild background in cybersecurity — tiktok is now trump/fedgov spyware. you need to delete your account and app ASAP. just because the app isn‘t open doesn’t mean they won’t be harvesting your personal data to target you. queer folx get the fuck off that app

The "well how can anybody really know anything" follow up was certainly something. Just spinning another rationalization to keep believing the nerve-agent conspiracy, because "how can we REALLY know" or "it SEEMS like something they would do" 😕

One of my favorite things is when the crowd causes a penalty coming off of a timeout or, even better, before the first snap. Michigan at Penn State is my biased go-to example but I'm sure there's plenty of phenomenal moments from other teams too!

you probably already checked this but if it's a garage outlet your gfci could be on an exterior outlet with a weather cover, I had that happen once. Had to go halfway around my house to find the one with the reset button
