I know it’s raining, but Spencer Danielson’s quote this week that BSU can run the whole playbook without Madsen seems pretty dubious so far. Gaines meanwhile has put the offense on his back.

Pac-12 announced today it will partner with USA Network for football and basketball broadcasts (plus CBS, CW, CBSSN). Interesting note: Pac-12 will produce all games on USA. I know the line is blurred more than ever, but I'm always suspect of partisan broadcasts. Viewers not always served well.

UPDATE: The Senate votes 53-47 to shoot down the Baldwin amendment to extend ACA funds for 1 year. A party-line vote with every Republican rejecting it.
An important vote in this series: Tammy Baldwin’s proposal to extend ACA expiring funds for 1 year. It’s structured as a motion to table (i.e. scrap it from the amendment tree). But it’ll show the appetite (or lack thereof) in the Senate to address this issue.

The "nuclear option" to blow up the filibuster was a Republican idea.

Tough night for rural fire protection districts in SW Idaho and school bonds. School levies fared somewhat better - though a levy in Valley School Dist (Jerome County) appears to have failed by just a three vote swing, 276-280. We have a post with notable results coming at boisestatepublicradio.org
