I know it’s raining, but Spencer Danielson’s quote this week that BSU can run the whole playbook without Madsen seems pretty dubious so far. Gaines meanwhile has put the offense on his back.

Maybe I should have known this before but ONLY 30 PEOPLE VOTE? WTF. What a joke.
Hard not to think east coast bias and time/visibility of games factored heavily into the AL MVP vote.

Pac-12 announced today it will partner with USA Network for football and basketball broadcasts (plus CBS, CW, CBSSN). Interesting note: Pac-12 will produce all games on USA. I know the line is blurred more than ever, but I'm always suspect of partisan broadcasts. Viewers not always served well.

UPDATE: The Senate votes 53-47 to shoot down the Baldwin amendment to extend ACA funds for 1 year. A party-line vote with every Republican rejecting it.
An important vote in this series: Tammy Baldwin’s proposal to extend ACA expiring funds for 1 year. It’s structured as a motion to table (i.e. scrap it from the amendment tree). But it’ll show the appetite (or lack thereof) in the Senate to address this issue.

Q: Will you assure House Democrats they'll get a vote on ACA subsidies by a date certain?

MIKE JOHNSON: Ah -- no. I'm not promising anyone anything.

Rest peacefully, Lenny Wilkens. I got to work with him at FSN back in the day when he was an in-studio Sonics analyst. Just a gem of a guy, and a hell of a baller

This video is bonkers, he seems unwell, but just to be clear about the history:

The "nuclear option" to blow up the filibuster was a Republican idea.

Trent Lott (R-MS) coined the term in 2003, and in 2005 Republicans used the threat of it to confirm several wacky federal court nominees.
Bluesky has a 3-minute limit but here's most of Trump's new video telling Republicans to end the filibuster.

"It was their idea originally, Obama and Harry Reid, in order to screw the Republicans, and now we can turn it around and we can screw the Democrats and make our country so strong."

Tough night for rural fire protection districts in SW Idaho and school bonds. School levies fared somewhat better - though a levy in Valley School Dist (Jerome County) appears to have failed by just a three vote swing, 276-280. We have a post with notable results coming at boisestatepublicradio.org
