Super Mario World has an extremely eclectic art style whereby many enemies are drawn in completely different ways. Development files reveal Mario went through many stylistic changes; it is possible that all the enemies were made to fit Mario, but at different points in time.

In Super Mario Odyssey, there is a single Luigi who is somehow too much for the Nintendo Switch to handle. Bringing the camera close to this 8-bit Luigi in Metro Kingdom at night will cause the game to stutter and slow down to 5 FPS. This is the only Luigi who has this effect.

We'd like to share a concept image of what our match screens will look like.

Miguel D has joined as our UI Designer, and he's been hard at work crafting our menu experience, as well as our upcoming in-game HUD.

We hope you're as excited as we are to see this come to life.

It sucks to see how little reverence and respect 343/Halo Studios has for the visuals, audio, and game design of the original Halo CE. This feels more like yet again wanting to "leave your mark" on a legacy.

I guess they feel the need to quadruple down on all the decisions that make halo "theirs".

halo used to be such a big fking deal man. it used to mean something, it used to be a creative pioneer not just in its genre but in gaming as a whole.

it's easy to see the strength of the xbox brand itself reflected in how much they give a shit about halo being the cultural juggernaut it once was.

“Halo: Campaign Evolved” is genuinely such a funny title. A remake with no multiplayer at all. Behold, not only our complete bankruptcy on original and good ideas, but also our inability to launch a title as feature complete as one made 25 years ago.

Very very happy with myself choosing not to stick with github after they completely overhauled their LFS pricing to be metered only. Reinforcing that it was a good decision to just self host

I don't have a portfolio. I have a scattered mess of images and assets that do a bad job of showcasing my specific expertise.

Spitzer image of Arp 302, also known as UGC 9618 or VV 340.

Arp 302 is unusually bright in infrared light. This is likely because the galaxy has an unusually large amount of gas, which is forming new stars that heat their surroundings.

Animated this in Adobe Animate, rendered it out in Blender. Music by Xtrullor. I am braver for it, the next test will be more ambitious.

tie between JavaScript and Haskell. JavaScript having so many different ways it let's you do things like defining a function gave way to some of the worst syntactical habits and patterns I've ever seen. And some things read worse than old C code with excessive abbreviation. Haskell is just hell lmao
What's the one programming language you hope you never have to code in again ever?

Dunno if I'll keep it but I was feeling froggy and added an "FPS Mode" for the map that displays it from your current perspective/FOV if you hold the button down. Kinda nice for orienting yourself on maps with lots of verticality!
