Really loved the thought and care in @jacky.wtf's assessment of whether a leftist position on generative AI is possible. www.jacky.wtf/essays/2025/... Even aside from just the text itself, using it as a bibliography of other worthwhile reading is valuable.
An exploration on what could be a leftist position on generative AI - Jacky Alciné

Sean Duffy: "The No Kings protest, Maria, really frustrating. This is part of antifa, paid protesters. It begs the question who's funding it."

NEW: Cybercriminals are increasingly being caught driving around cities with SMS blasters in the backs of their cars

These blasters connect to nearby phones, downgrade their connections to 2G, and then push scam text messages to phones

Some SMS blasters can reportedly send 100,000 texts per hour
Cybercriminals Have a Weird New Way to Target You With Scam Texts
Scammers are now using “SMS blasters” to send out up to 100,000 texts per hour to phones that are tricked into thinking the devices are cell towers. Your wireless carrier is powerless to stop them.

Especially if you're on the fence about it, protest today. Fascism is isolating and lonely. Its very goal is to make you feel like you're the only person unwilling to accept a cult of personality. On days like today you fully realize there are more of us than there are them. You will feel better.

Makes me so sad. At least as American Millennial, there was a joke rivalry, but Canada were supposed to be our literal closest bro's in the world? The nicest people you could possibly meet. Like literally comically loving of Americans, you would NEVER do ANYTHING to hurt them.

What have we done...
Can confirm US immigration in Canada looks like a zombie movie, and I got to personally see like 12 security agents and three customs and border people totally by myself.

In case you missed OPEC announcing increased production targets earlier this week, they did that that slam the door on domestic drilling.
I am better at assessing what the economy is going to do than finance guys because I listen to everything the President says and take it seriously instead of choosing to hear the things I want to hear

They all have offices in their districts.

Go there and ask why your elected representative is hiding from you.
“.. this [DOGE] narrative should end very soon,” the official said. “Probably the best way for that to happen is no more town halls.”

The Trump administration is going to fire just about every government employee still on initial probation (hired within the last two years). Since veterans, and especially disabled veterans, have hiring preference, Trump is going to fire a bunch of veterans.
