The way he spoke on his pod—even the way he spoke in his debates—was not generous or kind or curious or ethical. It does seem that thought simply showing up in front of a microphone and being very adept at never engaging in an earnest and unguarded back-and-forth was the entirety of the battle.

Has anyone seen any evidence Kirk had a moral compass? I've been watching clips of Kirk since he died—clips posted by people on the left and clips posted by people on the right—and I can't detect anything I'd refer to as a moral compass.
