Nintendo is demonstrating lessons learned from the Wii. Towards the end of Wii’s lifecycle, Nintendo mostly left the system for development of Wii U. That was a mistake. Utilizing third party developers & 2D titles is a good way keep development going for Switch, which still has a lot of life left.

Once in a while — and it’s usually when I get way too comfortable and forget — I step outside and am VERY bluntly reminded that I live in a VERY southern, very regressive state with a lot of ppl who would vote me and many of my friends out of their line of sight. It’s mildly depressing tbh.

I’m a big believer the Wii U is a great console and could have been successful if a few things had been different. Nintendo launching with a title like Super Mario Bros. Wonder instead of New Super Mario Bros. U is one of those things.
