bro the kids can't read. that's why the web is dying. first things first

This has always been one of the most striking SF mansions, down to how it interacts with the curve of Edgehill Way (which is no stranger to spectacular houses).

Edgehill was on one of our regular mid-pandemic walking routes, so we walked by here a bunch.

Curved mansion built for SF real estate tycoon hits market for the first time
It's located on one of SF's lesser known, yet magnificent, hills.

This picture is a story. I took it standing on BLM land (Federal), which is in fact public land that I was about to leave. The blue marker is an indication of the start of a Monterey County Parks trail. Of course, it is ALSO public land, though the feds don't seem to recognize it as such.

"I wish Andrew Cuomo only the best in private life...
but let tonight be the last time I utter his name"

If Alaska Natives have 1000 words for snow, New Yorkers have 1000 ways to say Fuck Off, 10,000 ways to say Get The Fuck Outta Here, and 100,000 ways to say Fuck You.

This was all three at once.

A bowling injury has resulted in me losing the use of my right wrist for a few weeks.

I'm a windows 11 user, who's about to get up to speed on voice control and speech-to-text. Where should I start?

In an industry where carpal tunnel is common, there's got to be a good tutorial on this, right?

This is a good move for both teams
Trade summary:

You hit a guy with a pitch, and when the batter says "Come on, man?" your answer is "Fuck you, motherfucker"?

Who are the blue jays going to plunk in the 6th or 7th?

He would go on to start games 1 and 5 of the World Series.

Though it's not my first pastry-related incident, nor is it likely to be the last, the pop-tart related burn I got on my hand tonight is one of the worst I've ever had.

Ouch. Burning hot gooey filling that sticks to you is no fun.

WTF @slate.com ? Democrats are not torn up about this. Our tent is not big enough for Nazis or people adjacent enough to have Nazi tattoos.

Getting a tattoo (nazi or otherwise) is a one-time decision.
Keeping a tattoo is a decision you make daily.

Keeping a Nazi tattoo is disqualifying, period.

It scares me that the US is horny for "offensive cyber operations" against China, as if they didn't lay off almost everyone responsible for coordinating cyber defense, decided not to pay the rest, and can't even get their critical infrastructure providers to patch 20 year old vulnerabilities.

My NFL fantasy matchup this week comes down to tonight's game. Sunday ended with us 0.6 points apart.

We each have a kicker playing tonight. I want the Lions to make some long field goals, while limiting the Bucs to extra points, misses, and punts.

It is not a healthy way to watch the game.

Sigh. One of the primary endpoints of the 21st century's Rattenlinien will be in Argentina. History may not repeat, but it sure as shit does rhyme.
They’re using American tax dollars to fund infrastructure in Argentina because that’s where they’re all going to flee when we kick them out of office
After announcing a $20 billion bailout of Argentina, the White House now says it's pausing $18 billion in funding for NYC infrastructure projects

This is pure horseshit. ICE helps the cartels.

The cartels are enjoying a nearly unprecedented period of low enforcement as DEA agents, FBI, and border patrol that used to catch 10% of their shipments have all been reassigned to the interior of the country to pepper spray frogs and kidnap abuelas.
Of all the things that didn’t happen
