I spent five days on the frontlines of the LA Protests, and everything you’ve heard from the media and government is a lie.

I also talked with an anonymous National Guard member, saw plenty of community, and witnessed LAPDs brutality.

I try not to second guess protest tactics but please do not sit or kneel in front of riot cops. It puts your head at impact munition height.

Remember when the pandemic began and everyone started accommodating remote work? Everyone began showing brand new movies and live concerts streaming? Disabled people had been fighting for this for decades. Now it’s all taken away. It’s not that they can’t accommodate us, they just don’t want to.

I say these things not to engage in empty alarmism.

I say them for this reason: this is the scenario I will be preparing for, will be recruiting for, will be training for.

What will you be doing to prepare?
Where can you find a place to help?
What is your role in the coming struggle?
If you remember the bomb threats, the actual bomb attacks, the shootings, the christian mobs baying threats and assaulting people outside of every abortion clinic, this is my expectation for what the experience of accessing trans health care will become in the years to come.
