I've just sent my new book to print! It's a collection of sketches, photos and stories from the last couple of years, when I've been recovering from long covid and learning dry stone dyke building from the island's octogenarian resident expert.

There is no way you can guess how the thread that ends in this instant classic begins.

We are watching Fury Road

Damn this is a great film

I see people are talking about Roger Rabbit again
Seeing it in the cinema were part of it was filmed is still one of the weirdest experiences of my life
Taking a break from work to eat lunch and put a film on.

I maintain that Who Framed Roger Rabbit is on or the top 10 films of the last 37 years.

Great adaptation, the acting was phenomenally classic noir, especially given they needed to sync up to "invisible" co-stars. And man the music and art...

We have a decent, but light covering of snow, more wet cold stuff falling and I don’t have to be anywhere for the next couple of days

Perfect timing!

Tattoo update. 24 hours on and it mostly feels like I have a sunburned shoulder

Mildly irritating as long as nothing bumps it

Still in love with my little lilac!

The witch made him hot chocolate.

"They say I'm strong," he said. "And I am."

He took a sip.

"They say I can overcome any hardship."

"Mm," said the witch.

"And I can. I do."

The witch said nothing.

"But I shouldn't have to!"

"No."

The witch held the hero as he wept.

"No, you shouldn't."

Utterly terrifying AI Christmas slop
This mural has gone up in Kingston, ostensibly for Christmas but AI has ensured it's actually to celebrate the return of our dark lord Cthulhu

Having a very lazy day to recover from Panto week.

I really need someone to make me eat / drink / sleep more next time

But it was so much fun and amazing to see how well the people we support did

This is our amazing cast - adults with learning and physical disabilities, staff, friends and family

I know we love to do the Torment Nexus bit, but there was literally a Black Mirror episode about a company that simulated your deceased loved ones via scraping their social media. Spoiler: it doesn't go well.

First night of panto went really well!

A few nerves from some of the people we support, but they all did amazingly
huge smiles as people came off stage (& some happy tears) and a great atmosphere thanks to our first ever Full House

Hoping tonight goes just as well, and then I can sleep for a week

At the 2024 funeral of Pål Enger, who stole Edvard Munch’s “The Scream” from Norway's National Gallery in 1994 (leaving behind a note: “a thousand thanks for your poor security”), not one but two photos of his getaway ladder were displayed, and his coffin was draped in a reproduction of "The Scream"
