The SJW stereotype was born entirely because the internet environment for children growing up in the 2000s was a fucking cesspit of predators and CSAM, and the genuinely horrified reactions to it and the attempts to clean it up got turned into a “funny” set of traits by said predators
It’s not surprising if you remember the Internet pre-2012. r/jailbait won “subreddit of the year” in 2011. 4chan was completely saturated with CSAM. It was not just prevalent but very openly so.

It's funny how people think Disney and, to a lesser extent, Don Bluth were literally the only creatives producing 2D features in the West up until the advent of 3D animation.
