I really liked this book. I read it in a few days and have thought about it a lot since.
My book, IT ALL FELT IMPOSSIBLE, in which I wrote a short essay for each year of my life, is officially out today (paperback & ebook). I think it's the best writing I've ever done, the most I've ever sounded like myself on the page.

#6 The Crying of Lot 49 by Thomas Pynchon

"This is America, you live in, you let it happen. Let it unfurl."

The paranoid hang over comedown from the 60's. Short and pretty funny, and especially appropriate in the age of Q anon.

I think is the year I finally tackle Gravitys Rainbow

If anyone else is using the old bantam edition of Gravity’s Rainbow for the read-along, I’ve gone and figured out all the page numbers for each day’s reading.

Fellow men, I recommend finding your love of novels amid dryly witty midcentury English novelists. A strong alternative if you aren't feeling Brodernism (sorry) or Infinite Jest www.nytimes.com/2025/06/25/s...

John Cotter and I planning a reading & convo about sound & hearing together at @spacegallery.bsky.social in Portland in a few weeks, so I’m rereading this & marveling all over again.

And I should have early copies of Deep Whoosh by then. 🤞

Shoutout to my favorite customer today who said ‘I need cheap books because I have no money’ and came up to the counter, set down a paperback Infinite Jest and went ‘Fuck it! I’ll be that asshole!’ You, sir, are my favorite.

Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio. A fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy. He hath borne me on his back a thousand times. And now how abhorred in my imagination it is!
