More and more, my initial reaction to news stories is “WTF is wrong with people?!”

In grade school, we had to write to somebody famous. I wrote Pres. Nixon to express my fear of the war shown on the news each night.

Change the names/dates in his reply and it could have been written by every President since.

Pray one day this comes true.

One reason why elite schools (Columbia, Brown, Cornell) caving to Trump’s illegal impoundment and extortion is so galling — a betrayal, really — is that they would have won had they fought. By giving up, they guaranteed every other school will have to fight harder.

So now the Office of Legal Counsel is relying on the word of a President who was caught lying over 30,000 times in his first term.
Awful: Trump's boat bombings are now being justified by a new legal memo that relies on WH's own determinations as evidence. Memo also says people can't be prosecuted for the killings. But that reveals WH knows there's legal vulnerability here, Ds tell me.

NEWS: White House held Epstein crisis meetings in the building’s most secure facility — the Situation Room.

Trump says there’s “nothing to hide.”

But I’ll tell you from experience… the only reason you hold SitRoom meetings IS when there’s something to hide.

The sheer scale of wealth for the richest.

The untethering of compensation from performance.

The amount of harm these figures are willing to inflict on society.

It’s insane to treat the filibuster as the most sacrosanct.

Article 1 power of the purse, oversight, and war? Nah.

Emoluments clauses? Bribery prohibition? Meh.

Criminal law? 14A? Doesn’t count.

But maybe the Senate changes a rule it has multiple times before? Gasp! Not that. Anything but that.

After yesterday’s surrender, we’re launching the largest Democratic primary program that we’ve ever run.

We will not back any Senate primary candidate unless they call for Schumer to step down as Minority Leader.

If you’re as pissed as we are, join this campaign to rebuild the Democratic Party. 👇
Democratic leaders have failed us again. It's time to get new leaders.
After yet another capitulation by Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats, it's clear we need new leadership capable of mounting a serious opposition to Trump's authoritarian regime. We're launching our la...

What's worse than the fact that they frame shit like this as if they're doing something good, rather than simply following the law, is that the reason they do it is because 32% of this fucking country can't discern fact from bullshit.
Translation - we don’t want to feed starving children, but we will reluctantly feed starving children because we’re not quite ready to openly defy a court order just yet, but we are still appealing the ruling because we really, really, and I mean reeeeeaaaaaly hate feeding starving children…

If the media you're reading or watching paints this as anything but a massive win, stop reading or watching them.

Mamdani is not a radical. He has run a tight, smart, fairly standard local campaign. He'll probably get 20 or 30 percent of his platform if he's lucky. The one radical thing he's done is told the Times to go to hell. He has campaigned every step of the way like he doesn't need them, and he's right.

Enough voters believed them and gave them the keys to the government.

And now its "Its all Democrats' fault that we suck at governing"
