The Flanderization of ghibli in the public mind is just so insane to me. Acting like it’s entirely wholesome and cutesy but is really overtly anti capitalist, depict the horrors of war and environmental decline, and have TONS of body horror and depictions of death and disease. it legit annoys me

The US military doing everything it can to further WORSEN its recruitment rates (lol, good!). "Join the US-Army! Highlights include: Not receiving any treatment after your service. Commit war-crimes. PTSD that never leaves you (refer to first highlight). AND!.... you're not allowed to play Monopoly.
During WWII the US deployed a Naval ship whose sole purpose was to make, store, and provide ice cream to troops actively deployed to heavy combat areas. Now you can't even have 9 ball
