The other is about how places that we need for welcome in a cold world can become hostile to those who need it most

It shouldn’t need to be said, but trans women of color talking about the ways they’ve even hurt by incidental racism in the community is not remotely comparable to tme folk saying white trans women are inherently racist, and trans women are inherently white.

our oppressors know that by making constant bad faith accusations of racism, they make people skeptical of all accusations and this disproportionately hurts twoc and serves as a way to silence them.

it’s something to be aware of if you at all give a shit about trans women who aren’t white
