So it's time to place your bets on how many years until Mormons call themselves "Mormons" again! And how many years until Moroni goes back up on temples and is used as a logo for something?

Here's a sentence I don't usually write, but what Trump is saying in this quote is 100% correct (when divorced from the context of his "speech"): the personal "carbon footprint" was dreamed up by BP as a way to promote "individual responsibility" as a smokescreen against "corporate responsibility"
Trump to the UN: "The 'carbon footprint' is a hoax made up by people with evil intentions, and they're heading down a path of total destruction."

This is amazing to me, and so simple. Turns out that the 9s Times Table from 0 to 10 is a palindrome!?

🚨 HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

For the next month, we're doing an experiment: live-streaming as a core campaign strategy.

Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, I'll be streaming with guests, games, and (of course) my cat, Heater. And if this works, we'll keep doing it.

Join us tomorrow, 7 PM CT.

I thought something seemed off about this whole thing of the "leftist antifa" sniper & now Washington Country convinces me more than ever the shooter is politically to the _right_ of Charlie Kirk and either didn't like some position he took or saw him as a useful martyr to light the fuse for unrest

Charlie Kirk was a martyr for free speech, which is why we're going to deport anyone who "makes light" of his death.

The Founders who wrote and passed the legal language "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion" actually meant "Congress shall mandate a national religion, and it's 21st century evangelicalism mixed with some catholic converts," they just accidentally wrote something else.

Following up my Kagi post from yesterday, if you decide to give it a go this guy came up with some block lists to help improve your results. Apparently there’s, like, 16 companies whose properties make up the bulk of search results and this filters them out.
How I Use Kagi
My block list and some fun search lenses. Don't @ me that damn article about the guy whinging about Kagi.

The only major worry I have about the Blue State Purposeful Gerrymander Project is that it makes primaries SO much more important, which is worrying for a system that is not controlled by laws. We saw how the will of the people has been thwarted by "superdelegates" and calendars before for the Dems.

My mental metaphor: the country has been kidnapped and taken for a wild ride far from our civil home using a truck of invented executive power. If the Dems manage to wrest control in an election I don't want them to set up a cot and pretend everything is okay where we are: I want them to DRIVE HOME.

By SCOTUS's logic, a law banning all treatments for erectile dysfunction would not discriminate on the basis of sex so long as it was applied to everyone.
Roberts writes for the conservative supermajority to uphold Tennessee's ban on gender-affirming care for minors. He says the law does not discriminate on the basis of sex OR transgender status, and says this issue must be left to the democratic process. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/24p...

One thing, of many, that I like about some of the people I follow, like @aoc.bsky.social, is how their replies usually reveal a few more trolls I need to block. It's really made my experience here so much better, and not being listened to is the biggest reason racist X users don't stick around.

In 2025 it turns out one secret to Internet sanity is simply weeding your garden: block each and every troll, every time. Leave a couple nice wildflowers who you disagree with but they're actually nice and nuanced for sake of good diversity of thought, but don't even wait to toss the trollish weeds.

I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world.

Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO
