Had a fabulous time at CKCU-FM 50th anniversary reunion. My show’s technician, saved the scripts to my show, The Children’s Hour which I had written by hand (1986-88). I also did stuff like news reading on air. I first met @marksutcliffe.bsky.social here as a CKCU volunteer high school student.

I can safely say it was a “Bazaar” morning with visits to the All Saints Westboro United Church, Unitarian Church Fall Fair & the Danish Club Bazaar at Ron Kolbus Lakeside. Cycling was fine and Alex and I were glad to be able to get around before the freezing rain forecast becomes reality.

A pleasure to meet the new minister, Reverend Lee Lambert at the St Stephen’s Anglican Church Annual Food Fair. Lots of delicious baked goods and frozen food choices plus a homemade lunch available until 1 pm. As you can see, Alex and I picked up a few treats.

This government is paying unelected school supervisors up to $350,000 a year to replace democratically elected trustees and they won’t even respond to parents or communities. Ontarians deserve transparency, not government appointees hiding from accountability.

Blue and black bin collection changes are coming January 1. The City of Ottawa will no longer be responsible for collecting your blue and black bin. Instead, Circular Materials will manage the new recycling system on behalf of the producers of paper and packaging.

In 2018 Doug Ford promised he wouldn't touch rent control.

He lied.

Now he has the audacity to blame renters for his failure to build housing and make life affordable for the people of Ontario.
