It will always baffle me how easily people will believe that the poor, the sick, the marginalized, and the immigrant are the cause for all their problems, rather than the people in the most powerful positions in their country who refuse to fix problems and exploit them instead.

I am not a pacifist. But as a Christian I do filter a lot of views through the prism of, "Does this harm people?" And if it does, that should make a Christian hesitate. It should mean something. It should give you pause. That simple question of, does this hurt or heal people?

I really try to consume news from both sides and listen to political leaders I don’t like in order to stay informed and not dwell in an echo chamber.
But I cannot bring myself to turn the audio on for that Hegseth speech. Just by looking at it, I know it is so impeccably stupid. It’s just too much.

I hate to burst anyone’s bubble, but the silly poorly-designed “our graphic designer is on vacation this week and this is the best we could do” ads are absolutely planned campaigns.
