This is the thing: an open-and-shut case of someone minding their own business, observing the rules as expected, then getting roared at by a revved up arsehole who roasted her brain on Facebook, with infinite billionaire funding and roaring support from the world’s most poisonous national newspapers
The reason I find the Sandie Peggie case so distressing is because it’s *such* a clear example of bigotry. There is no evidence of Dr Upton doing anything to make anyone uncomfortable ever, other than existing as a trans woman in a woman’s changing room. She’s blameless.

This woman is being harassed in a court of law, repeatedly misgendered & called a man to her face by an opposing lawyer. This is completely fine to the judge.
I truly don't know how she copes.

The legal system needs to take a long, hard look at itself here. Beth Upton had done nothing wrong, by admission of everyone involved. Yet her abuser has managed to insist on making all of this public, and the courts allowed a barrister who hates trans people to abuse her further in court.
What Dr Beth Upton is being put through in this process is horrendous. The far right pos who is doing this to her ought to be ashamed of herself, but we know full well that these horrors never feel shame. Absolutely foul. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

I wonder what the members of the uk media who’ve ‘just been asking questions’ about ‘the trans issue’ feel about Trump’s war on trans people? I’m sure some agree with him but are afraid to say so. Do the others feel any guilt for laying the groundwork? Are they even aware that’s what they did?
