So maybe sit this one out, you rancid herring.

Combine this with Zohran's election in NYC, the mood music is clear. Trump is being rejected by Americans and the only way he will survive is by staging a coup against the nation, perhaps by cancelling midterms

Couldn't agree more with you. This is pure panic.
Yeah, this looks like an absolute panicked mess of a plan. There are ways to cut energy bills without undermining energy efficiency and clean tech investment. But cutting VAT and efficiency programmes is a short term saving for long term pain.

I am loving the talk of the mansion tax.

Set it at 5m and take 1% pa of anything over that amount.

1. that's not how this works

2. this is, like, six hours of pay

3. this is clearly Trump trying to message to the military that they are his personal army and reliant on his largesse

4. they're probably lying about this donation even existing

5. that's really not how any of this works!
New: The Pentagon confirms to CNN it will funnel $130M from an anonymous Trump “friend” toward military pay.

Asked about the donor’s identity and any foreign or domestic entanglements, the WH referred questions to DoD. DoD then referred questions back to the WH

Wealth taxes work, and furthermore they are a moral imperative.
In the two years since the state started charging a 4% surtax on incomes over $1 million, the effort has created a $5.7 billion windfall, with the surplus being used to fund bridge repairs, bolster literacy programs and address the transportation system’s budget deficit.

Exactly this.
The Constitution is not self-enforcing.

The only thing holding our Republic together are our norms.

And the only thing that enforces those norms is The People.

No one is coming to save us.

It's entirely up to us.
