Is it just me, or has the @DailyMailUK become especially unhinged lately?

I mean - what on earth does living in a cul-de-sac have to do with attempted murder?

You can only presume that Trump & his cronies make an absolute killing every time the markets balk at his latest tariff tantrum. And another one when he inevitably backs down. Jimmy Carter putting the family peanut farm in a blind trust for the duration of his Presidency feels very, very far away.

👉 Richard Tice says Labour’s EU deal makes us rule takers. But we’ve been rule takers since 2020 – no vote, no say, no seat at the table.

Rule Maker to Rule Taker - what Brexit really changed
Richard Tice, Deputy Leader of Nigel Farage’s Reform Party, says Labour’s new Brexit reset means the UK is: “basically going back to being a rule taker

Feels a bit like Jan 6, except this time without the naïve belief that everyone would abandon Trump once his depravity became undeniable.

I hear Nigel Farage is declining interview requests. First time for everything, I suppose. I suspect he’ll eventually speak to whoever is least likely to challenge him properly.

I would like to see a few British broadcasters read out every word of Trump’s latest ‘statement’ live on air & then remind us of their often lavish statements of support for him & then share some of their supportive words for Ukraine.

And then we can all watch their brains explode…

Today I pushed for MPs to have a vote on the Climate and Nature Bill because the issue is simply too important to kick into the long grass. We have a vanishingly small window of opportunity to prevent climate catastrophe - govt needs to act now. #CANBill

Yep.
A lot of the political content is bad but really what broke Twitter/X for me was the extent to which it began pushing endless videos of violence at me... just people getting punched, assaulted, run over, fighting... I like to think I'm fairly mentally resilient but constant exposure altered my mood.

Option one is that this is a direct consequence on Kemi Badenoch's chronic under-preparedness – simply not checking her own previous positions.

Option two is it's an indirect one – she assumes no-one else will look them up.

Either is…quite bad for her prospects. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

He thinks it's funny.

Nobody who supposedly understands the scale and horrors of the Holocaust would ever dream of posting something like this publicly, with such glee.

When you post something like this, it tells me that you think it's inconsequential - worse, he tacitly approves if it.

Trump has pulled the security of former government officials we know are under threat simply because he doesn't like them. And he's done it at the same time as released a load of very angry, very violent, likely highly armed individuals who are loyal to him.

It is dark stuff.

Rejoin is not Remain. There's a key difference.

Remain was a warning of danger ahead.

Rejoin is a rescue mission.
