Der Hunger in #Gaza ist keine Naturkatastrophe, sondern politisch gewollt. #Israel setzt Hunger als Kriegswaffe ein. Dafür gibt es zahlreiche Belege. Daran ändert auch nichts, dass die israelische Armee nun eine „taktische Pause“ des Militäreinsatzes angeordnet hat.

Die gesamte Amnesty-Bewegung trauert um den palästinensischen Menschenrechtsverteidiger und Lehrer Awda al-Hathaleen, mit dem wir seit mehreren Jahren zusammengearbeitet haben. Awda war auch Teil des preisgekrönten Films „No Other Land“.
Er wurde von einem fanatischen Siedler ermordet.

Solche Meldungen, die aus dem Haus Netanjahu stammen, sind absolut falsch. In Wahrheit ist es die israelische Regierung, die sich weigert, eine langfristige Waffenruhe im Austausch für die Freilassung aller Geiseln zu akzeptieren. Deswegen demonstrieren auch so viele Israelis gegen die Regierung.

What the Trump administration wants to do by creating these camps is monstrous enough. But a key thing I found when writing a book on concentration camp history is that when you establish this kind of detention, it tends over time to devolve into much worse kinds of camps.
