Their policy position is "I should be able to take whatever I want, tell whatever story I want about it and be believed, and consign all my critics to silence, prison, and death."

That's *what* they believe, as expressed through statements and action.

We need them as far from power as possible!

This makes me a lot more interested in using KS next time around.
WE WON! After 42 days of striking we have a tentative agreement in hand that protects our existing 4 day work week, establishes a minimum salary, and adds protections against AI replacing jobs at our workplace!

If you donate food/money/time to a food bank or to help folks who didn't get SNAP benefits, I want to mail you a print copy of my goose game!

DM me your address and what you donated (I don't need receipts) and the goose will be on its way!

International is ok! I have a dozen to send out! HONK

Fights in Tight Spaces is one of my favorite computer games. I could not get into Knights in Tight Spaces. It feels wrong in a way that didn't soften with time.

The Far Sails sequel was the same. It just never had the same feeling of quality as the first game, controls felt wrong.

If you normally receive the TYOV newsletter please let me know if you -don't- receive one today. For the second time the Shopify newsletter system has given me an outrageously atypical undeliverable report and I am curious if the report itself is trustworthy.

'Noem also claimed federal agents in Portland recently arrested "the girlfriend of one of the founders of antifa."

I don't think I've ever been so certain a statement was satire and been wrong.

Kristi Noem accuses Oregon leaders of 'covering up terrorism' after visit to Portland
The DHS secretary said ICE officers told her Portland police cheered on "rioters." Portland's police chief called the claim "an abhorrent allegation."

The “compact” for higher ed is an unserious document written by unserious people from a position of spectacular ignorance. No one should take it seriously. Sadly, my bosses are taking it seriously.

In SPINE, I want players to play with the ttrpg's rulebook in innovative ways.

I wrote this essay to think through the design. It describes the various ways we play with books in ttrpgs, with examples of how we use books as props, as anchors for fictions, and how we recreate them as art.

How much does it cost to put 8+ federal/mystery employees in the field for however many hours they spent waiting for that guy? Did taxpayers pay for that guy to have a "this is my personality" cowboy hat?
