Finally watched Dr Strange: Multiverse of Madness in the waning light of a Disney sub. Fun stuff, and they've obviously had a good play with the visuals.
I can't shake a bit of regret at missing out on the Strange mythos, though. The MCU character is more wisecracky and less eldritch.

Talking to one of these types at a con who asked how I 'got in' with so many 'famous writers' who I'd been talking to and I said "we made friends before anyone knew who we were decades ago by striking up interesting conversations and enjoying each other's company" and he kept re-asking the question.
They have come to the convention hoping to "break in" and then find themselves -- shocker! -- a "nobody in the book world." Yeah no shit! We all are! I have gently told guys like this a million times that it takes most of us *years* of hard work but they do not believe that could be true for them. +

I never quite tired of tombs/castles, but I do think its always fun to apply the powers of the mythic underword to IRL structures and dungeonize them-- e.g. The Crystal Palace

What would 1d6 reskined monsters, treasures, & traps of this place would be? What would be something to talk to here?

Reading Daggerheart. With some difficulty, due to combo of my eyes and glasses and reflective paper.
A short way in. It could have used a little extra proofreading - particularly for surplus colons - but it’s pretty good. Having to make deliberate effort to read in a non-editorial way.

Any caregiver, or any human really, who tells you about their holiday stresses is attempting to sort through a massive truckload of cognitive dissonance fostered by this time of year. I cannot "rest" when I am supposed to "rest," so it all has to be clawed back in some defiant gesture.

A TTRPG that supports one, clear, singular approach to play thoroughly is a better object for play than one that's a mess on the topic.

But it's a worse object of hobby.

You need a BUNCH of clearly-focused indie games to make a hobby. You only need one giant mess.

Musing: maybe something I should do next year is go back to publishers for a higher rate when a proofread needs more work than it should. Which is quite common in ttrpgs. Wonder how receptive publishers would be.
