I would love to run a Vampire AP set in Dublin. However if that was a thing there would be no masquerade! Everyone in Ireland knows everyone. If a hunter went into the local pub saying they're looking for John the barman would immediately reply "Do you mean postman Johnny or vampire Johnny?"

Yesterday the RPG Realms zone of tabletop.me in Dubai 🇦🇪 was packed with players, all day. And it was exciting to see so many newcomers trying #TTRPGs for the first time!

Plenty of games to choose: we're running #CallOfCthulhu demos, and there's also more CoC & #Pendragon happening too. Plus D&D etc

Lake Kaindy is a valley lake made by flooding in Kazakhstan, whose water is so cold that it preserved the spruce trees that grew in the valley for over 100 years. Underworld environmental design drop for you!

Tip for creative folk/artists out there who are selling their work online. When you get really special comments, emails or messages about why someone loves your work, keep them. Take a screenshot and keep them. Then you can look back later when you're having an artists block or whatever.

Plan for day was stuff in town and boardgaming this evening, but gut decided it would have an unhappy day so stayed in and blobbed about instead. Bah.

Important.
In Icelandic we have 'Ókind' for monster. But the translation is un-sheep. So everything not a sheep is dangerous.

The easiest GM tip is to describe action. It's not that hard. You've seen movies, right?

Did a player shoot at an NPC and miss? Explain what they hit instead. Stucco? Chunks of drywall? The bad guy's trophy rack? A taxidermy polar bear?

Did they hit? Explain the impact. How does the target react?

If you like 1e more than 2e, this should be an improvement (a 1.5e, if you will).

Feel free to suggest better table entries. 100 backgrounds is hard to do! Also starting gear, sheesh!

I made a "barebones" version of Cairn. Sort of. It's the 2e rules but with swingy and random character generation (no tables, no implied setting). I'm still tweaking it a lot so expect some changes.

It's SRD only now, but here you go I guess.
