U-Con day one was a busy but fun day. Opened with Cribbage with Patrick, Sky Team, Powerships, Point Salad, Terraforming Mars, and ended with Mississippi Queen.
Sky Team is a great two player game. I've only played Mars once before and I really enjoyed it.

AFC Toronto (the Toronto women's soccer team) just announced their playing half their home games in the main Toronto stadium (BMO field), which is way, way easier for me to get to. So now I'm a season ticket holder for AFC Toronto in 2026.

What is so frustrating is that for more than a year, you look at AWFC on paper and think they should just mow down any opposition. And then the on field product is just incredibly uninspired to outright bad at times.

I've been making and canning pasta sauce all afternoon so I didn't catch the Gotham game. Did it get a billion minutes of extra time because that always seems to happen in the NWSL especially when I'm hoping for a positive outcome for Gotham?

We played like crap for the first bit, and the midfield should have been different from the start. For most of the game, though, the teams looked like equals, and ultimately the game was decided by awful refereeing. That's what's bullshit.

Look, I know VAR is controversial (because it's often terrible in the EPL), but it's insane that in the biggest women's league we have to deal with bush league refs making bad calls, over and over and over.
