Waiting for every elected official who backed a thinly-veiled anti-trans bill called the "Kids Online Safety Act" to say anything about the fact that formerly-twitter is now offering its users a literal child p**n generator. I mean you are all deeply worried about the safety of kids, right?

Maduro sucking or not sucking is a peripheral question and a classic misdirection. The USA isn’t removing Maduro because he sucks! They’re removing him because he refuses to give them what they want

By Wednesday Trump is going to be visibly irritated if reporters are still asking him questions about Venezuela.

The USA's illegal imperialist adventures in Venezuela are angering, disheartening, dangerous, and somehow not really surprising. What is quite alarming, though, is the way self-procliamed left-ish governments like Canada and the UK are saying "yep, we're absolutely fine with this. Carry on."

I admit that I'm no great legal mind but, limited though my understanding may be, it seems to me that a call to 'respect international law' in this situation should include a note of criticism about sending an armed force to another country to abduct its president. #Venezuela

Sports are also bad, apparently.

I often don't post, a lot, explicitly about politics because I don't know what I have to offer beyond "this is very bad, there's little chance of stopping it, and another world is necessary, now" about a great number of things.

Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.

Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.

The United States is blatantly violating international law in order to engage in regime change. It is that simple. Canada is acting in complete support of this illegal act. This needs to be said this simply.

A US indictment doesn’t give you the right to invade another country, seize its leader, or decide who governs next. Criminal charges and non-recognition don’t erase head-of-state immunity, this is regime change dressed up as law enforcement.

Watched Wake Up Dead Man. I did enjoy it. Still processing it - I liked the central mystery, but maybe it had one too many twists for me?

I have always loved Tom Waits. I've seen him live twice. Now I think I need to go on a little Waits listening escapade.

Played Heat & Dominion today. Heat is such a fun game, I never tire of it. It's been more than 15 years since I played Dominion, and I instantly went "oh yeah it's a classic for a reason."

I have a lot of games in shrink, but I'm going through a phase of "tried and tested classics."

Hey board game pals, where do you get baggies in bulk to pack up your game bits? It's been a long time since I bought some, and the website I last shopped no longer exists.

What if, and just hear me out now, what if it really should not be on overworked individual faculty to adjust their approach to teaching to avoid AI cheating, but instead it should be dealt with at an administrative and legislative level?
None of these anti-AI assessment strategies y’all are promoting are at all reasonable for adjuncts or folks who teach asynchronous online classes or who have large large classes. Imagine adjuncting an asynchronous online class of 50 students and doing oral exams.

USPS quietly changed its postmark rules — mail is no longer dated when you drop it off. The “official” date is when it hits automated sorting — sometimes days later

Which could have major implications for mail in voting — it’s a clever way to disenfranchise voters that’s going largely overlooked
