The British Army checking the boot of our car for weapons every Sunday when driving to my Gran's house in Country Tyrone, Northern Ireland.
Without revealing your actual age, what's something you remember that if you told a younger person they wouldn't understand?

HERE WE HERE WE HERE WE FUCKING GO.
Everything's terrible, except for it's the 8th of January, and in just a couple of hours Peter Bleksley kicks off his absolutely bonkers tour of the UK and Ireland.

I needed to map it to see if there was a rhyme or reason to his route, but no, it's just as maniacal as it seemed.

I have downloaded every episode of Space Ghost Coast To Coast, The Brak Show and Cartoon Planet, and i'm gonna watch them all. I've never even seen Cartoon Planet, They Might Be Giants do the theme music!

Has anyone actually ever had this? I guess it's a bit like champ, but at breakfast, and with way more stuff in it.

That’s a funny way of spelling “it’s funny that the entire media is outright nazi propaganda”
it’s cool that half the media is outright nazi propaganda, and the other half is “both sides” corporatism

People living in UK - especially GB - should not be thinking 'at least we're not as bad as America,' when Northern Ireland exists and civilians were being shot by state forces there for decades, and recent governments have given those forces amnesty. @grantsana.bsky.social leading bsky voice here.

If I had an opinion this awful i'd stay anonymous too.
Being good at your job is low key sexy as fuck. I bet your work crush is good at their job, no one ever fancied someone who is an incompetent fuckwit.

What a glorious day!!
The return...

Heavenly announce their brand new record Highway To Heavenly, as fiercely independent as any punk band, but as sweetly melodic as any chart-topping act.

Huge Paul McCartney fan. He's a legend. But that time he performed 'Her Majesty' to the Queen at that jubilee concert was cringeworthy as fuck. Really lame. Whenever I remember it it genuinely ruins my day.

Been invited to a wedding in July that I really want to get out of, but the only thing I have in my diary for that month is the anniversary of Battle of the Boyne.

I've been listening to a lot of B-52's of late. Here's my hot takes. 1. The debut is a bit overrated. Wild Planet is superior in every way. 2. Their mid-late period shiny melancholic pop albums Bouncing Off The Satellites and Cosmic Thing are their best. 3. Private Idaho is the weakest early single.
