Hi #PortfolioDay, I am a game animator from Southern California. I thought I'd share an animation I've been working on recently. I have a new reel but it's a bit too long for Bluesky, so if you'd like to see it, it's available here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=sttw...
Today's Muninn. Every day is a horror lately.

Waking up from nightmares of helplessly watching world-ending disasters and then reading the news feels like being stuck in a feedback loop.

What? Nooooo 😭 I'm not a fan of starting to get old enough to see the legends I grew up admiring leave us.

Muninn looking longingly up at the window this morning. He's a nervous jumper and usually needs a lift up to the windowsill.

Hey millenials: Better go check that album full of CD-Rs if you've got data on them, I tested a few yesterday from 2002 and had to give them a good swipe of the t-shirt to even get my aging BD to read them.

My brand new, $3000 computer, lol 💀 stuck in an automatic repair loop where it keeps reassigning the drive letters. Earliest I can get it repaired is Thursday.

I was making a giant cheese costume out of cardboard, my hand slipped while cutting a big hole using a box cutter, and the blade went straight into my left arm. Still have the scar. The costume was so big that when I got laid off from Obsidian it was too big to fit in my car and I left it behind.
What's the most ridiculous way you ever hurt yourself? I got out of the tub, skidded in water and tripped over the toilet. Ankle sprain.

😅

Got a new computer recently. Tore my place apart but can't find my install CD for Adobe CS5. Exhausted all my other options. Feeling really defeated. I know it's like 16 years old but it's worked for me okay up until now and almost $800 a year for the same thing feels absurd. 😞

I must've woken up Muninn from a quality nap based on the length of that drool...

This is the sort of thing I do during my time off I guess, I exchanged some old #Pokémon cards today for a bunch of cards to complete my 151 master set... still have like 60 cards to go.

I'm getting a little choked up, I'm so used to the things I love being super obscure that watching KPDH blow up into a global phenomenon has been such a joy, I'm just so happy for everyone involved, it feels very vindicating.
Okay, the crowd going nuts like someone just scored a touchdown at the Super Bowl all *through* the KDH performance is a hell of a thing to see hear/see:

I'm still not sure how to organize the loose drawings from the drawers so in the meantime, I'm going to share some stuff from this huge binder of stuff, mostly from between 2000 and 2001. It's a lot like the drawers of loose drawings except I hole punched it. No organization. #sketchbooks

Wanted to be a veterinarian but couldn't handle medical gore, decided to draw animals instead, animation seemed like a good way to get paid to draw animals, still don't get paid to draw animals but did get paid to animate kids farting and guns firing.
What’s the lore behind choosing your career path ?

I wanted to chat a little bit about an audio book my husband and I have been listening to every night while we do the dishes, which is titled "Children of Time" by Adrian Tchaikovsky, a soft science fiction book, and why I'm utterly devastated by the existence of this stupid book.

We interrupt this scanning session to bring you a WIP story I apparently started when I was like 10 that I must not have planned out very well, I have been laughing for the last five minutes. #sketchbooks

Well the good news is that second drawer was only a third full of drawings and the rest was old keepsakes so I'm done with loose drawings, bad news is now I'm into scanning this box of small size #sketchbooks... kill me now
November 19, 2025 at 10:47 PM
It looks like the second drawer is a lot of loose drawings from my college days, which is cool, but it's a lot of 16 field animation paper that doesn't fit in my scanner, which is less cool

Good news is I finally finished scanning everything in this drawer, total of about 800 files. Bad news is I got another one of these drawers that's just about as full. 🫠 #sketchbooks
