Liberal MP Steven Guilbeault resigned from cabinet on Nov. 27 after PM Mark Carney signed a pipeline-affirming MOU with Alberta Premier Danielle Smith.

His act of conviction is one that more Liberals need to emulate, for the good of the country, and their party, writes Christopher Holcroft.

this is fitting especially since the Prime Minister rode a wave of "elbows up" to power and has done very little since.
And the results are in! After carefully reviewing the results of a national poll the Board of Directors of the Society for Canadian English (SCE) has determined that this year’s Canadian Word of the Year (CWOTY), the first of its kind, will be “maplewashing.”

i think we need to bring the greasy ass-shitting chips back to teach an important pedagogical lesson to the youth of today
So many people say AI is just part of the world now and we have to accept it. Yeah well so were those Olestra potato chips that made people shit themselves and we got rid of those.

Kid I’ve been mentoring, hardcore drug addict has been doing well. Occasional relapses but keeps moving forward, better than he was a year ago. Had a terrible day today, his reflex would be to do cocaine all weekend. Went for a walk instead ands some girl gave him her number.

God damn it.

Watched Tron Ares. I wanted to hate it. I liked it.

If Tron is your thing, it’s really good, I’d argue better than Legacy which I enjoyed.

Easter eggs galore.

Seeing the original grid was something.

Jared Leto… He was good for the role I’ll give him that. Still hate him

Hit a PR of 355 this morning.. when we do our 1-rep max, it feels like “Unbreakable” sometimes, where you just keep adding a little more weight and surprise yourself.

I think this was the best I’ve felt when lifting heavy - whole body feeling good and nothing tweaked 🤣

This has a parallel. Into the 2000s, police in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan would take Indigenous folks they found outside late at night on "starlight tours," driving them beyond the city limits, and dumping them there. They'd often freeze to death trying to get home.

1/ The Prairies gave Canada Medicare. Today, the Alberta government passed a bill to take it away and replace it with American-style, two-tier healthcare, all while Carney looks the other way.

That's not who we are. That's the system our party fought to leave behind.
Unfortunately, after repeatedly using time allocation motions to limit debate, Bill 11 just passed third reading in the legislature.

Printing photos has been a huge amount of trial and error. I’ve got a process that wheels for me.

Getting a large canvas printed though, learned a ton at the print shop while they printed a a test strip for me. If I’d known this stuff before..

I think there’s a metaphor here..
