A plea to journalists: Stop perpetuating the myth that #Russia is 'taking' anything or can conquer Europe. They are terrorists, not an actual super power.

We should not fear them, we should beat them into the ground and put them in their place, so that they can reboot and build a proper country.

100% true.
Trump's threats to Greenland are: a domestic distraction, a distraction for EUNATO from helping Ukr, a boon to Ru as they drive a wedge b/n US and its allies, an anachronistic plan for conquest, poorly-cloaked in a security concern, like Pu's "NATO is threatening Ru so I'll invade non-NATO Ukr" bs.

1. Trump is doing exactly what his Russian handlers want
2. It’s a deliberate step toward undermining NATO
3. It’s also just a vanity project for a deeply disturbed individual

All three can be true (and probably are) at the same time.
Trump's desire to annex Greenland is a vanity project. We can accomplish all our security and economic needs in Greenland without annexation.

A short summary of the meeting between the US and Denmark/Greenland yesterday.

As stated: “This is 2026 - you can trade with people, but you don’t trade people.”

Turns out, Denmark is not alone in deploying troops to Greenland.
BREAKING part 3: Denmark is not acting alone. Several European allies are in dialogue with Copenhagen about providing military reinforcements to Greenland.

Preparing for the arrival of allied forces is a key task for the advance unit now on the ground.

Today, we are presenting a decisive €90 billion support package combining military assistance and budget support.

It will fund the military support Ukraine needs to defend itself against Russia’s invasion, while keeping Ukrainian hospitals, schools, and public services running. (1/2)

Good news!

The #Russian plague can and must be ended. They are a blight on this planet.
🔥 Right now, 1,500 Russian soldiers are trapped in Transnistria—yes, in Moldova, not Ukraine or Russia! After years of Russian occupation there, Ukraine and Moldova have cut off every supply line. Those troops have nowhere to go and nothing left.

TRUMP: Who said that?

Q: The premier of Greenland

TRUMP: Well, that's their problem. I disagree with him. I don't know who he is. Don't know anything about him. But that's gonna be a big problem for him.

I really hope @ryanmcbeth.bsky.social is right in this short video. His arguments are convincing.

That said, I worry Ryan might be downplaying just how irrational Trump is, not fully grasping that the POTUS isn’t a rational actor.

It’s actually kind of reassuring that @chrismurphyct.bsky.social is aware of map projections. Not sure why, but it gives me a sliver of hope for the US.

Otherwise, yeah; this whole situation is absolutely bonkers.

I can't believe I'm posting this video - but we actually have to have a conversation about the real world implications of America going to war over Greenland.

Let me walk you through it. It doesn't turn out well for us.

Russia is pathetic. Putin's "special military operation" in Ukraine has now lasted longer than Russia's participation in World War II.

- The Soviets conquered Berlin within 4 years.

- Putin's Russia almost controls all of a midsize town in Eastern Ukraine called Pokrovsk.

This is spot on. X is not primarily a social media platform anymore. It's a power space for America's neo-royalty, and other governments are afraid of Trump's anger if they leave.

That's why "our government communications now happen on a deepfake porn site", and nobody does anything.

100% this.

We're trying to solve the problem using traditional diplomatic methods. This will not work. Trump needs to be told, very directly, to back down now. Stop beating around the bush.
Time to stop writing articles about the "security" or "economic" reasons to capture Greenland, they are irrelevant
Not everyone believed me when I wrote that Trump wants Greenland becuase it would make him feel important, but that's what he told the NYT:

When asked why he needed to possess the territory, he said: “Because that’s what I feel is psychologically needed for success"

We fought Russia successfully before the United States even existed — so we should be capable of doing it today.

We will get a fair solution only once Russian elites conclude that the original invasion was a mistake and that the ambition to rebuild the Russian Empire is unachievable.
