Thessa & Persephone the Rescue Sisters, back in 2020 when they were just beginning to trust humans again. They would have been approximately 4-6 months old here, I think. Thessa is the calico, Persephone the sable. At the time they did everything together.

I cannot emphasise enough the inadvisability of calling your kid "Anshita" if they are going to attend an Australian school. It is a beautiful name with a beautiful meaning, but perhaps consider it as a middle name instead? Because I am serious when I say that children are mean. Really mean.

Like a stopped clock, it occasionally gets common knowledge questions right, but also like a stopped clock, you have to have another source to check if this is the moment when it is right.

A sunbath, in which Persephone appears to have melted into nothing but tail and legs and an enormous pink tongue. I am glad cats self assemble again after they melt into random parts.

This. Or you know, Trek and Babylon space opera outfits in general. Jackets alone are fascinating, and footwear, leaving out jewellery which is a treasure trove (if you would forgive the expression) of imagination.
i would pay good money for the menswear guy to do a breakdown of how he knows Garak isn't a real tailor based on his fits

An illustrator friend did a kid's book where one of the mums wore hijab. Not to make a point, just as part of a normal city school background. Took it to publisher and was asked to remove because it 'wasn't a book about inclusivity'

Summer is on its way! I've been enjoying the warmth in the garden with the cats, but it's still only 25˚ or so in the middle of the day. I am so looking forward to some real heat!
