Ottawa city councillors, by and large, do not care. The only thing that the vast majority of them care about is placating NIMBYs and keeping taxes frozen while they push every social problem into Centretown and leave it to deteriorate because they think it's no longer their problem.
I don’t know how any Ottawa city councillor can look themselves in the mirror when the city is functionally gridlocked from east to west.
