This may seem like a win but the fact that only 6 Republicans voted for it just demonstrates why we can't trust America again.

The Senate won't pass this and most Republicans clearly agree with Trump's war on Canada.

to be fair, the new Rivian R2 looks great, I'm on the waitlist. So there's hope for the American industry.

But the idea that the U.S. big three are turning away from EVs only means they are archaic husks of 20th Century industry.

A lot of people are conflating the fact that the American car industry sucks with the idea that people don't want EVs.

Any company that can produce good EVs, and isn't owned by a nazi, is doing just fine.

There was a point in my life when I thought the fall of the Berlin Wall would be the defining historical moment.

Then it was 9/11.

Then the pandemic.

I guess what I'm saying is that Francis Fukuyama can get bent.

Remember when Uptown Funk flash mobs were the most consequential thing happening?

Thanks Obama

wait, so you're telling me that if 51% of people placed bets that the moon was made of green cheese we couldn't use that to fund a Moon Cheese Extraction appropriations bill?

Palantir has been in the fascism game for over a decade, at least. Any employee has had enough time to process that and make a moral decision.

I don't know what's worse, a derivative market for betting or the fact that this dude thinks it would be a valid public policy tool without a derivative market

Some really sloppy offsides here, like really bad
February 10, 2026 at 8:31 PM
it's funny to think that anyone working at Palantir didn't know that this was job. You are literally building FascismOS

Do Ottawa MPs who don't represent the core know that supporting RTO hurts small businesses in their riding?

How do you explain to the sandwich shop in your riding that the sandwich shop on Sparks Street is more important?

We are playing Calvinball with one of the dumbest men to ever live.

We need to just disengage until the Americans decide if they want to be a serious country or not.

We literally gave the Americans a bridge, for free, and Orange Julius thinks it’s some kind of conspiracy

I came across the Prince Super Bowl halftime show today and I have to say, if you want to feel hope in humanity and the power of music and the human spirit you should watch it. I couldn’t stop smiling.

it has never been a TD subsidiary, it is a fintech startup backed by investors.

In 1943, musician Woody Guthrie placed a message on his guitar: "This machine kills fascists."

I am part of a group that's shipped half a million free 3D-printed whistles to defend against ICE — 200,000 of them in the first week of February alone.

This is the story of the "Whistle Crew."
This whistle fights fascists
I print whistles now. You can too.

we literally had an entire 40-year war about this kind of thing.

We even gave it a name! The Cold War!
