I hate having to run out and pick up one last thing on Christmas Eve because then I look like one of those men who does all their Christmas shopping at the last minute.

I had my stuff locked down a week ago! I just wanted to add one thing!

It’s important to remember that when a U.S. president is under siege domestically, the one thing he can do without much obstruction is make a mess of foreign affairs.

Canadians should expect Trump to point his tiny orange fingers to us soon.

Yikes this is bad.

Fighting disinformation and abuse in the internet is now officially anti-American and can get you banned from the country.

This is authoritarian playbook 101.
Five regulators and researchers who work to tackle disinformation and abuse on the internet were barred from entering the U.S. after Secretary of State Marco Rubio labeled them “radical activists” who undercut free speech.
They Seek to Curb Online Hate. The U.S. Accuses Them of Censorship.
The Trump administration said five regulators and researchers who work to tackle disinformation and abuse on the internet had been barred from entering the United States.

Unrelated to Paul’s post. This chart supports what I see daily with the accounts I oversee

Paul has 30k followers on Bluesky, 76k on X, 7k on Threads and 5k on Mastodon

Now look at those vote numbers.

Mastodon, Bluesky and even Threads smoke X on engagement.

DOJ briefly uploaded this letter from Jeff Epstein to serial child molester Larry Nassar:

"Our president shares our love of young, nubile girls. When a young beauty walked by he loved to 'grab snatch,' whereas we ended up snatching grub in the mess halls of the system."

I love that my country is going to help bring that idiot down
Bari Weiss is so incompetent at leading CBS News that her efforts at fully suppressing the 60 Minutes segment on CECOT was foiled because she wasn't aware (or forgot) that the broadcast package including that segment was distributed via a streaming app for broadcast in Canada.

Bari Weiss is a fascist sympathizer, pass it on.
The CBS 60 Minutes Doc confirms what we knew: The U.S. is currently using our tax dollars to imprison brown people with no criminal record in torture camps overseas.

It’s no wonder administration shill Bari Weiss pulled this off the air: www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjY7...

One of the reasons I use a Mac (at home, grrr) is because I absolutely love to support small, independent app developers. There is just no equivalent ecosystem on PCs.

Anyway, this little app is the best thing I've seen in quite a while, and it's only $5 USD.

I’m gonna wait for the Toronto media to call them bad fans and say they should move the team.

That’s what they do to us every time
Something strange is happening at Scotiabank Arena: The Toronto Maple Leafs are no longer selling out.

Once a team that sold out every home game for more than a decade, the Leafs have sold out only six of their first 20 home games this season.

This is the analysis we’re not hearing enough in the mainstream media.
Since my name keeps getting called out here, I thought it would be useful to take a look at Greenpeace's analysis here.

A quick thread:
He's done so by ignoring long-term costs, the precedent it sets federally and the very real risk to frontline communities. I find it irresponsible and I'm hoping through this back and forth that the full story (and its impacts) behind this political betrayal can be brough to light.

I’ve seen various versions of this story in the Canadian media over the past couple of days and it reminds me that we don’t really understand how trains work in most of the civilized world.

A train operating on a frequent schedule for the convenience of passengers is somehow newsworthy here.

Carney should rip up the MOU if Smith doesn't kill this.

I'm tired of this nonsense from Alberta and their MAGA-backed leadership
I can’t believe we’re headed for a world in which Alberta holds a referendum on leaving Canada.

Particularly in the context of threats and attacks from the superpower next door.
Why an Alberta separation vote in 2026 is looking more likely
