Severance is a really good show, but there's a missed opportunity. After we're introduced to "Mark S.", it's a glaring omission that they did not:

A. Establish a recurring problem in the office where Mark's pants spontaneously fall down, and then
B. Reveal that his full name is "Mark Severpants"

Great column by @nberlat.bsky.social:

"The ugly truth is that Trump and MAGA wanted the attacker to be an immigrant, and now that they know he isn’t, they’re shameless enough to just to forge ahead with pretending that he is."

No, Trump wasn't "confused" about the New Orleans attack
We're way past giving him the benefit of the doubt.

Respect to @anntelnaes.bsky.social for quitting the Washington Post due to censorship over her on-point cartoon. More of this from artists and writers, please. Don't obey in advance, especially to the broligarchy.

Social media created MAGA. But it also had an effect on many of the rest of us that I think has gone underappreciated: it revealed the astonishing breadth and depth of American stupidity, across all strata, that has shocked even the cynical among us.

The question: what do we do with this knowledge?

If it still seems absolutely insane to you that trump, an adjudicated rapist and convicted felon who tried to overturn the result of the previous election, is going back to the White House, that's a good sign.

It means your brain is still working, and you haven't normalized it.

IT IS NOT NORMAL.

And the complete inverse is also true for the half of America who voted for the rapist fraud 🙃
People say they can’t trust a victim until they win in court, but if they win in court, they still refuse to believe it. The idea that you need a court win to believe someone is a smokescreen for your refusal to believe them
