Retired and loving it. I think of my rhetorical style in a discussion with Trumpers as "a two-by-four to the forehead."
Pinned
I hope, and I believe,
that the day will come
when you will hide that MAGA hat
in the back of the closet
in the bottom of the chest
next to grandad's white robe and hood.
Punishable by the 25th amendment. Do it!

When your staff has to put out a statement like this, you really f**ked up good.

We are approaching the part of the scandal where we all realize that MAGA will defend Trump no matter what, he will face no consequences at all, he will say it was a hoax over and over for years, then the DOJ will investigate the accusers, and Trump will expect compensation for how he was treated.

"Infused by divine providence." He was sent by God Himself, so literally nothing he does wrong ever matters, because God.

Don't call us a cult though, oh no no.
Sloppy Steve doing damage control with the cult today trying to talk them off the ledge.

Can we just take a minute and acknowledge that our POTUS is right OUT IN THE OPEN lobbying Congressional members to vote against releasing the Epstein files?! Like... what the fuck else does anyone even need to know?
November 13, 2025 at 1:32 AM
When we finally learn how much Trump knew (and participated), how will MAGA react?

a) That's awful! He's got to go.
b) Witch hunt! Fake News!
c) Big deal. Who among us hasn't...?
d) OK, he's no Boy Scout, but...
e) Jesus forgives him, so do I.

I'm guessing a lot of b, c, d, and e, not so much a.

I have slowly come to the realization that my interest in remaining attached to the country I have lived in for 68 years largely rests on the hope, though not the expectation, that the United States will experience sweeping, radical, lasting change within the next few years.

Yesterday's pardons would be enough to have Trump impeached in a sane world. Abuse of power, corruption, giving immunity to the conspirators who helped him commit crimes.

There are probably literally 100 separate acts that merit impeachment and removal from office, but this should be on the list.

I see the word "led" being spelled "lead" often enough, and by enough experienced and prominent writers, that I think I am watching the language change. At some point, dictionaries are just going to say that "lead" is also acceptable.

But it isn't really.

If Senate democrats would quickly replace Schumer, it would do a lot to give democratic voters some hope after last night's debacle.

Your regular reminder that we desperately need to overturn Citizens United and get big money out of politics.

It is among the worst Supreme Court decisions in history.

It corrupts our political system every day.

Six Supreme Court justices are the ultimate villains in the current American nightmare.
They wanted this. They twisted the law to make it happen. They enabled Trump - he might rightfully be in prison without their help.
They did all they could to tear down our republic and replace it with fascism.
