The ugly truth about cancer is people expect you to either beat it or die of it. When you’re in advanced stages, a third condition called chronic cancer means you’re in a constant state of battle, and people don’t like that sort of mess. So you fight on while they slink away. Don’t be that friend.
Good. Mangione represents the repressed frustration we’ve all felt at the hands of crumbling democracy and the breakdown of systems that were designed to help but now hinder. Murder isn’t the answer…but that should be the same for the powerful.

While I salute the prosecutors who refused to conduct a ridiculous, unnecessary, unethical investigation into the wife of the shooting victim in Minnesota, I’m sad that the result is we have fewer prosecutors who will continue resisting fascist witch hunts.
