I totally understand the sentiment. The fact that anyone supported the man, or that billionaires had enough sway over the media and messaging is horrid. But here are some late stage stats that are completely anomalous with the results. Fundraising totals. Exit polls (actual voters).

This snapshot of @meidastouch.com reporting shows exit polls from early voting on October 31, 2024. Models by @electiontruth.bsky.social of six swing states found, if not for patterns of manipulation discovered in early voting, election results would have mirrored these polls. She won. He stole it.

Keep up the good fight, Dems. The Department of Education is a key resource for special education programs across the country, funding teachers, case managers, diagnostics, and best practices for kids of all abilities. We should be investing MORE in education, not making cuts.

A tale of two skies. Out my left window, the mostly blue sky. Out my right, apocalypse now. And yesterday we had a severe thunderstorm warning with potential for tornadoes…in California. But I forgot, climate change is just a hoax. 😳

The most beautiful line graph I’ve ever seen in my entire life.

The concern should be that another clear cut case of Musk corruption fleecing American taxpayers is only “raising concerns.” What we need is outrage and justice.

I’m not spending an inordinate amount of time organizing my sock drawer so I don’t have to pay attention to politics…YOU ARE.

Gorgeous! There was a Great Blue Heron on the hillside next to my home in California just two weeks ago. They are such majestic, elegant creatures.

Geodes galore! A small sampling of mine.

FYI funding cuts are still being threatened not only to federal agencies but states and counties as well, despite court orders. Because Santa Clara county contains sanctuary cities, Trump is illegally withholding funds that comprise 30% of our total budget, 80% of which goes to healthcare.

As someone who lived in NYC in the 90s and 00s, I can confirm this rings 100% true. And no one batted an eye…unless to say, “Girl, you look fierce!”

Better thought: Defund SpaceX, its owner is a gazillionnaire. Instead, funnel money into NASA and science education programs. Oh, and leave NPR the fuck alone.

Thank goodness for the military and Trump!! We never had water in California before this! Now it’s just raining down on us from Seattle and Mt. Denali…errr…McKinley…and beyond! I’ve lived here for 18 years in a total drought! How we ever grew crops before was a miracle!!

Because I need a moment of peace from the Trump-induced insanity of the week, happy caturday to everyone and happy birthday to my amazing (non-cat) son! #caturday
January 25, 2025 at 7:47 PM
Over the last four days my son—like the rest of us—has been bombarded by terrifying stories about Trump’s moves to deny climate change, trans rights, and the rights of our country’s immigrants. I had a talk with him about advice that has always brought me comfort in times of trouble. Be the helpers.

More adventures in medicine today. After six months of bad reactions to statins needed to control high cholesterol caused by my oral chemo treatments, and constant battles with my HMO to prescribe me a compatible alternative, I’m finally sticking this dang needle in my stomach. Wish me luck!

Like property taxes aren’t high enough. And well done on fucking over women and POC twice with taxes on college scholarships and single parents (aka moms). This is day two, people. Day fucking two. God help me, where are the numbing agents when you need them.

This is what pill refill day looks like. Half of these require manual monthly emails to doctors and weekly trips to the pharmacy. Soon, I’ll be adding a twice monthly injectable cholesterol management medication that will be equally annoying to refill. This is my life. This is life with cancer.

Definitely don’t try going to the Spanish language page either. When my Mexican-American husband went to check out whitehouse dot gov/es, it popped up a “404 page not found” graphic with a single function button that said “go home.” So effed up 🤬
January 21, 2025 at 8:20 PM
Try going to whitehouse.gov/es. 404 page not found. If you think you’re safe because you’re a citizen, you’re mistaken. Mine said “go to home page.” My Mexican-American husband’s just said “go home.”

Anyone taking Duloxetine (generic for Cymbalta), heads up: The medication is being recalled because it contains nitrosamines, which are carcinogenic, aka cancer-causing, if taken over a long period of time. Fantastic. I’ve only been on it for 10 years. And have cancer. 🤨
