I was having a fun dream where I was at music/golf festival, where people were in costume. Then I introduced myself to someone as “Charlie” because my mom used to call me “Charlie Brown”. It then became the most anxious dream of my life because I was trying to find a way to explain my name is Mikey.

I’m really looking forward to the presidential fireside chat where he teaches the American public the difference between a pedophilia and a ephebophilia and how he’ll sue anyone who calls him the former
Q: "Why are White House officials…meeting with Rep. Boebert in an effort to try to get her to not sign this petition calling for the release of the [Epstein] files?"

Leavitt: "I'm not going to detail conversations that took place in the situation room."

It feels like every day I learn about a new rich guy who's the worst.
I forgot to note that this was a thread, so: Here is a 🧵🧵 on the direct connections between Heritage Foundation, Nick Fuentes and the far-right Texas billionaire who is fueling the rise of Christian nationalism. If you do not already know a lot about Tim Dunn, I recommend changing that.
Two years ago, Nick Fuentes was so toxic that, after I reported on a secret meet he had with a top Texas GOP donor, the party was engulfed in scandal and voted to explicitly ban Holocaust deniers/Neo Nazis.

Today, Heritage Foundation effectively said that "no enemies to our right" includes Fuentes.

Argentina is a cautionary tale about why Italians should not be in charge of anything. You can't get rid of the Italian-ness even in the diaspora. It's fundamental to our existence

After spending 43 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit, evidence hidden by the prosecution reversed his conviction. Rather than finally enjoying freedom, ICE abducted him for deportation

Flight of the Navigator is one of my favorite movies.

My ex in college tracked down a used VHS tape of it from video rental place in Quebec for my birthday. I think I still have it
Back in college in the early 00s, I was convinced this movie was a childhood fever dream. No one knew about it and I couldn't find any info online based on my sparse memories. I finally bought it on DVD during lockdown and haven't stopped watching it.
No Suck Fairy detected: "Flight of the Navigator"–the delightful adventures of a boy and his very cool spaceship–is one of those movies you loved as a kid that truly holds up almost 40 years later 🌟

Interesting thread. There is a link to the full document at the end.
In March of 1945, the US Army issued this "fact sheet" to guide conversations with soldiers on the topic of fascism, paying particular attention to the ongoing threat that domestic fascist movements posed to the US. Their analysis of what a homegrown US fascism would look like is interesting.
