It’s gonna be really funny if the government shut down is what finally ends TSA
So it turns out... the US air travel system was incredibly, deeply dependent on federal funding to just run day-to-day all this time, to the benefit of private airline shareholders, when everyone thinks that state-run trains are leeching off the government. Weird!

The last time New York had a decent mayor was Giuliani, over two decades ago. Say what you will about him (you younger people only know what's become of him after leaving office), but he really did clean up the city. He oversaw the removal of its two biggest eyesores.

As good as I am the Earth to no longer have these people on it, it’s a shame that they got to live full happy lives with very little repercussions for their evil.
Wow Dick Cheney died. I wish I could say I knew some small measure of peace from it. To call him a villain to understate his legacy by some significant margin. A bottomless pit of evil is more accurate. Good riddance, too bad it took so long.
