They’re clearly plugging this dude into an IV regularly and, if this were Biden, there would be demands for weekly hour long press conferences from his doctors on his health. But that’s not how authoritarianism works so stop asking questions already.
Trump last night had the complexion of a Thanksgiving turkey that was left in the oven too long and bandages were again visible on the back of his right hand

One of the best-sketched characters in an incredibly character-rich show: a fascist whose (potentially real!) redeeming qualities are continually undercut by his monumental pride, bigotry, entitlement and pettiness
The most realistic scene in DS9 is when Gul Dukat whined about how the Bajorans never erected a statue in his honor. A prophetic text.

Trump rages that Henry Cuellar didn’t pay him back for a pardon by switching parties, blasting Cuellar for a “lack of LOYALTY.”

In other words, Trump admits he was trying to use his pardon power to buy Republicans a House seat.

i think to understand the meaning of the birthright citizenship clause to the framers of the 14th amendment, you have to understand significance of dred scott to the civil war republican party. dred scott wasn't just a bad ruling, it was understood as a rejection of the declaration itself.

I love this. Instead of liberals simply whining about all the bad stuff Trump is doing to take over media, here's ACTUAL CREATIVE LEGAL THINKING ABOUT HOW TO FIGHT BACK.

This is exactly what we need! Will all this stuff work? No! But we need to TRY THINGS.

Yesterday the President fell asleep, yet again, during a televised fake Cabinet meeting staged so that each of his courtiers could heap praise on him, praise for which he couldn't stay conscious. He woke up just long enough to spew racism. Why is this not being treated as an emergency? >

Texas clearly did a racial gerrymander, which is illegal.

A district court found that Texas did a racial gerrymander, rejecting the new map because it is illegal.

But the Supreme Court reversed it.

Because? Must assume the gerrymanderers were acting in good faith (despite the evidence otherwise).

Hilariously battery technology and EVs are getting to the point where you could bring more style back to car design. But leave it to the anti-Ozempic crowd to say 'no your cool jeep SUV with the retro stripes has to get 8 mpg and smell like malaise.'
I'm sorry I keep quote-tweeting this, but I am beside myself hearing someone from a Republican administration that is based on alleged American Greatness, saying that now, finally, we can return to the 1970s. bsky.app/profile/atru...
Sean Duffy on slashing fuel economy standards: "This rule will actually allow you to bring back the 1970s station wagon. Maybe a little wood paneling on the side. We can bring back choice to consumers."

My dad was bitter about them removing lead from gasoline for years.

I think because he felt leaded gas was better for the engines and/or that engines were simpler to work on before the switch.
it is MIRACULOUS that we got rid of lead paint and asbestos when we did. if we had tried that today, there would be people whining about how we're restricting their rights.
Bring back residential-use lead paint, you cowards.

We are in a battle against fascism. We need fighters, not folders.
It’s time to turn the page in the Democratic Party.
