One of the biggest impacts I’ve seen from the unproven idea that people are wrongfully using disability accommodations is that people stop trusting people with disabilities and in fact further restrict, remove, and demonize accommodations for people with disabilities in general

The power of the pardon having no guard rails (see also: Nixon, Trump talks of self pardon) needs to be addressed.

That Trump is doing all this autopen nonsense is doubly funny. Running a lawless gov and undermining one of the most powerful tools for keeping folks loyal while doing illegal acts.

AI is the most important new issue on the agenda and it’s not great that the leading approaches are:

1. Do whatever big tech wants
2. Make stuff up about water use

I think we can do better!

i'd go even further and say there is a reason even nixon kept this kind of stuff to himself. you would have to go back quite a bit to find a point at which is acceptable for a president to say anything like this *in public*, to say nothing of in the oval office.
I don’t want to be pollyannish about the past, but it was basically inconceivable twenty years ago that a president would say this publicly
Trump: "It’s a hellhole right now. And those Somalians should be out of here. They've destroyed our country. And all they do is complain, complain, complain. You have her. She’s always talking about the Constitution provides me with – go back to your own country and figure out your constitution."

You know, if they were trying to hoard anything OTHER than money or power, we'd look at these tech bro CEOs for what they really are - folks with serious anti-social mental issues in need of professional help.

One of the pathetic things about racist halfwits is they associate themselves with everything positive about this country merely because they're white and they were born here. Like this asshole has done more than most to shred the constitution and he's talking like he wrote it!

these are all terrible options, and if we lived in a functioning democracy with working regulators we'd think nothing of putting a blanket end to pointless media consolidation

these deals are always terrible for product quality, consumers, art and labor, but this is always downplayed in coverage.

Which brings Admiral Holsey’s recent resignation to mind, after he informed Hegseth that he had no intention of carrying out an illegal order after 40 years of service in the U.S. Navy—

I’d like to hear Holsey’s testimony too

The only thing less human than these AI dub performances is the decision to sign off on them

A company this big can pay human actors a decent wage, not produce slop that intentionally removes the human element.
