Alameda, CA had nearly no bike infrastructure when I moved here 13 years ago. Now's it's one of the best cities in the Bay Area and will only get better as it's Bay Trail, Cross Alameda Trail, and Central Ave projects finish up later this year.

Alameda, CA had nearly no bike infrastructure when I moved here 13 years ago. Now's it's one of the best cities in the Bay Area and will only get better as it's Bay Trail, Cross Alameda Trail, and Central Ave projects finish up later this year.

A computer equipment problem following network upgrade work is preventing the start of service this morning. Seek alternative means of transportation. bart.gov/alternatives provides options without BART service.

This Saturday the city of Lexington, Kentucky will open the beautiful new Gatton Park. This is a great article about how it all came together and became the amenity-filled destination in downtown. Gates open at 11:30 and the ribbon will be cut at noon.

HUGE legal victory: @cycletoronto.bsky.social has won its Charter challenge of the Ford government's legislation requiring removal of Toronto bike lanes! Justice Schabas ruled that the law puts cyclists at increased risk of harm and death which engages the right to life and security of the person.
