Staff encouraged me to include a disclaimer: “Walsh is speaking as the elected representative for Ward 2, and the opinions she shared are her own and not those of AC Transit or its Board of Directors.”
I guess AC Transit and the rest of the Board don’t agree that transit requires investments? 😕

The city policy that makes the least sense to me is the free parking in New York City. There are densely populated neighborhoods, especially in the outer boroughs, where the street parking is completely free. This is valuable public land just given away to drivers.
