Stephen Colbert and Evie Magee need to do a show together post-CBS. They are so much fun to watch together and absolutely a stellar model of mutual love and respect.

“America First” and its resulting increase in military spending by countries that thought they could rely on America as a partner is just a con to enrich the owners of the military industrial complex further after cutting their US taxes to nothing.

This is so stupid. After every mass shooting event, we’re told, “It’s not the guns.” This is literally lying about “the gun” to excuse murder. 🤬
From the NY Post. You know they are really scrambling when they are running "The gun was no angel" stories.

No. Politicians haven’t reached different conclusions. Some of them have chosen to lie and deceive because they think they can’t tell the truth without losing their power within the system they have enabled to kill indiscriminately. That would make them vulnerable to the same behavior.

The total accumulation went from 12” as of 10am yesterday to 21” now. Weather science is wild and amazing.

Got to love the admission of extortion here.
Sen. Kevin Cramer: "Maybe the point should be if you're the attorney for Jay Powell and you want to avoid an indictment, how about you go to Jeanine Pirro and say, 'I'll make a deal. I'll step down today if you drop the investigation today.' To me, that would be a win win for everybody."

One way to monitor your blood pressure regularly is to be a blood or blood product donor. As a whole blood donor, it’s as often as every 56 days; depending on the blood product, it can be every 112 days or every 7-14 days if you schedule regularly. Find your local donor center and start soon!
Experts say getting your blood pressure checked is one of the most important things you can do for your brain health. Here are five medical appointments you should schedule in 2026 to benefit your brain, as well as your body.
Brain Health Challenge: Doctor Appointments for Your Mind and Body
When was the last time you checked your blood pressure? Today, use a checklist to stay healthy in body and mind.

As the crow flies, I own property with my brother about 7 miles across the bay from this site. A mile from us just across an oso from Texas A&M University, Corpus Christi, is a Karankawa burial/ceremonial site. None of this was covered in our jr. high or hs history courses.

It's a very tender Hanukkah right now! Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who has sanctified us with his commandments, and commanded us to kindle the Hanukkah light.

My mother HATED turkey. She finally got out of cooking it in 1997 by having surgery 2 days before. Steak instead. 15 years later when I got home for Thanksgiving, Dad demanded turkey. At the airport, Mom said to me, “Don’t ever come home for the holidays again. I never want to cook another turkey!”

The War Department doesn’t exist. Alas, the investigation will happen anyway because people in this administration are stupidly corrupt sycophants.
Leavitt: "The White House is supportive of the Dept of War's investigation into Sen. Mark Kelly, and I think what Sen. Mark Kelly was actually trying to do is intimidate the 1.3 million active service members."

I’m more interested in the number of people working full time for billionaires who both need and qualify for SNAP. Maybe go charge the rich guys for the cost and double in fines until they raise pay to living wages. Same for ACA and Medicaid.
Ron Johnson: "Government is their family member. It's their programs. Things like SNAP ... We've got 42m Americans on food stamps. We can't tell you how many illegal immigrants ... we need to reform these programs."
