It's the very thing that inspired Anthony Daniels to go for the role of Threepio and perform him as such.

It is the first heartbeat of the art that now exists.
The memorable concept art for R2-D2 and C-3P0 standing on Tatooine. Threepio looks dramatically different, and yet possesses the same characteristics that would go on to inspire the character we all know and love.

One life eclipses another; Smilodon takes down a whitetail deer. Inspired by petroglyphs, cave art, and ancient Scythian art. It's weird to think that the whitetail deer survived the ice age and made it to the present but many of its predators did not. #art #smilodon #paleontology #rockart #deer
