Enjoyed this more than the last two season finales 🤣
With the wait between THE REALITY WAR and the 2026 DOCTOR WHO CHRISTMAS SPECIAL lasting longer that the 1985 hiatus did (1 year 6 months & 24 days versus 1 year, 5 months & 24 days), the only logical thing to do was make a pop record. Blame @masolko.bsky.social!

knowing my core values is actually so helpful because then when I encounter videos of someone telling me how to live my dream life by achieving some version of "freedom" I can go, "oh, freedom's not even in my top five, never mind"

Maybe Happy Ending has one of those scores that seems unassuming but will have you crying in the grocery store.
jazz was the correct move and I'm so glad that's the direction they chose.

...well, some of the plot twists this season were fun.
but after that finale, I have to say some were more like Peri's fate in Mindwarp 🤕 because what the heck was that

S2 is going hard on plot twists and reveals. and you know what, it's fun to gasp at my television! it's fun to tune in every week so I'm caught up and not worrying about spoilers!
and if we manage to get any new fans to revisit the Sixth Doctor era, this will all have been worth it 😉

I'm just now understanding how Classic Who fans must have felt back in the day. you turn on an episode and you're like, "autons??" or "they brought back the Master?!" or "oh my god, Sarah Jane!" or "wow, they're really just doing The Silurians over again"
I get it now 😅

IMO great worldbuilding isn't about explaining the big broad systems of the world OR about self-indulgent detail of the minutiae of people's lives, it's about how the big broad systems inform/generate the minutiae

I could listen to Lisa Bowerman tell stories for ages.
I, too, miss the sounds of the Radiophonic Workshop in classic Who—the eerie and otherworldly stuff. The Sea Devils, anyone?
Though, of the many scary sounds mentioned this ep, the scariest for Who fans might be the mention of "canon"!

occasionally, I love my heckin' country.
Chappell Roan’s The Giver, a song literally about lesbian topping she did as a country anthem cause she thought it was funny, used for Hockey Night in Canada’s opening tonight & it’s even funnier

Really appreciated this conversation with Matt Galloway of the CBC. We got to talk about tuberculosis, the implications of defunding USAID, and the future of the disease in a world where human health is not being prioritized.

the film includes so many of my favourite things and people, I am desperate for it to be good
Richard Linklater’s sensitive portrayal of American lyricist Lorenz Hart, played with wit and frenetic energy by Ethan Hawke, brings us deep into the gossipy theatre-crowd milieu of old New York.

Cuddlesome is one of the first Big Finish stories I ever heard and it began my love for the Fifth Doctor on audio 💛 it's a fun little story, if you've never heard it! and it's free!
Happy "Free Cuddlesome CD with every issue of DWM 353" Anniversary to those who celebrate.

Our second update of 2025 is here, with another batch of improvements. 🚀
✨ We’ve completely rewritten the PDF viewer with performance and usability in mind. It should now render pages much faster and be more responsive and smooth, even for large PDFs

an absolute treasure trove and potentially very useful for a project I'm working on?!
I uploaded 282 high quality scans (1200dpi, greyscale) of animal etchings on the Internet Archive.
They are from the book "Éléments De Zoologie" published in 1885, so feel free to use them for your projects !
