Scrolling on TikTok post the temporary ban and the consensus is that the app has changed and not in a good way. Content that is not favorable to the incoming administration is being banned. Also, someone discovered that TikTok data was moved to Meta servers during the time of the ban.

I did not have “the thirst trap lumberjack has been radicalized and decided to lead a revolution against the two party system and also maybe capitalism” on my bingo card and you know what, that was on me. I should have been ready for anything.

Set my reading goal for the year at 12 books, and I've read 2 books so far.

Goodreads: "You're 10 books behind schedule"

StoryGraph: "Brilliant! You are ahead by 2 books!"

This very well may be my last year with Goodreads. No one needs that kind of negativity in their life. Especially not now.

I am very picky when it comes to audiobooks. I have a hard time with attention span. So I’m looking for recommendations.

I just listened to LIGHTS OUT and it was FANTASTIC! I loved the dual POV and that the male narrator did ALL of the MMC voiceover (and vice versa with the female narrator).

Tell me why Apple Maps took me to a fitness gym when I plugged in the name of a bakery? And I didn’t even notice until it said I had arrived and I was like, where’s the bakery??

Who lined up at 4am to the Eras Tour book? Me, I did. I got one for my youngest, and one for my collection.

I'm headed to an indie bookstore that's having a 1/2 off sale today.

Two vital pieces of info b4 Black Friday:

1. Price trackers have proven that Amazon has been slowly hiking prices so they can pretend to slash them on Black Friday/Cyber Monday. There are no actual deals. Just the appearance of them.

2. Amazon workers are on strike

SantaThing is one of my favorite LibraryThing traditions. We don't make any money on it—indeed we always lose money—but members love it, and between all the donations for down-on-their-luck members and help people get in picking books, it's a wonderful community booster.
SantaThing is our "Secret Santa" for bibliophiles, and sign-ups are in full swing! Come and join, and spread the bookish holiday cheer this season! You have until Monday, November 25 at 12pm EST to join. 💙📚 www.librarything.com/santathing.php
