You know where you can find mass infant remains?

right alongside and under the foundations of medieval churches. because infant mortality was heartbreakingly high and these assholes are doing everything they can to bring that back
I pointed out (elsewhere) that the Vice President was lying when he said in a speech that archaeologists used mass infant remains to identify ancient brothels (they don't) so now I have right-wing chuds emailing my university email to 'gotcha' me about the sites I mentioned by name already.

Second this as both an illustrator and Art Director!! Ask for more time when you need it!

No one is going to get mad or blacklist you because you communicated your needs. Taking care of yourself IS the responsible thing to do.
Destroying your health to be able to meet deadlines is not worth it. Ask for more time. Take breaks or your body will eventually force you to when you crash!
What advice would you give an aspiring comic creator? - 🦝

My partner was just telling me that Minneapolis’s Aquatennial Parade started in 1940 as a way to give the public a diversion from remembering Bloody Friday six years before, which was when cops shot 69 picketing truck drivers (killed two of them). Sure didn’t learn that one in school.

You don’t know your role yet maybe, but we are all finding out just what we have to offer.

In Minneapolis, one man knew immediately what he could offer and said “Bring me your clothing”.

Explaining to my partner that the Real Housewives is just like wrestling. They go in with storylines, but they do get their actual feelings hurt the way wrestlers aren’t really fighting but they’re hurting their actual bodies.

Photo by Pierre Lavie. Yes this is me. And I threw my Leica. It landed on the bass plate with hardly a scratch. Another Photographer grabbed it along with my phone and I was able to track him later. I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.

The true answer to the question "Are ICE more like Nazi Germany's Gestapo or US Antebellum slave catchers?" is "Yes."

Oh hey it's #portfolioday,
I'm an artist and illustrator working across a number of different mostly physical media, including watercolor drawing-paintings, papercut sculpture, and printmaking.
I'm never quite sure where I fit in the scheme of artistic workers but I am always interested in projects
