At 300 km/h back home, gotta love the french at the very least for their railway! And: no silly paper tickets for the Paris Metro anymore, instead simply use the Apple Wallet 🤩

I could go on and on… Lyon rebuilt and rebuilds most of their roads to be Oneway and hold a physically separate bike lane!

Cytokines meeting coming up Nov 2-5 in Seattle! Fantastic keynote speakers ⬇️.

Sadly, I for my part do absolutely not feel like visiting the US🇺🇸 currently (how far is Portland from Seattle??). Would have loved to catch up with friends and colleagues (@adforu.bsky.social, @ramlabuw.bsky.social, ...)
Cytokines 2025 promises to be an exceptional program! Visit seattle.cytokinesociety.org for the full list of invited speakers, to submit your abstract for an oral or poster presentation by June 18, or register today. You don't want to miss this year.

Paris-Berlin sleeper: low carbon, 2 years old, constantly full, but currently losing SNCF a few million EUR/yr

Intl Jet fuel tax exemptions are 80 years old and cost the EU 22 million EUR/yr for the Paris-Berlin route alone.

And you're cutting... the sleeper?

Super interesting virus: #hepatitas 😅 E virus #HEV!

@daothilab.bsky.social looked into its ORF2 protein and how it counteracts cell-intrinsic immune responses. Congrats Ann-Kathrin, Loan and team, and thanks for having us on board!
