As someone who was raised in an anti-technology cult the current attempts to get kids off phones is so obviously counterproductive.
Having no access to TV and the internet as a kid made me yearn for technology. As soon as I had access I became terminally online in the worst way, as you’d expect

by the by I've said before and I'll say again - I don't agree with the "we need them kids off them screens" values of the boomers. screens are great for a plethora of reasons.

I grew up in a theatrical family for who the BBC held an almost sacred position and a lot of my fave shows growing up (red dwarf, doctor who, Blake’s 7, the news quiz) were produced by them. But over a decade being out as trans I’m not sure the BBC can be saved, it’s rotten to the core
Revealing division in my timeline between (1) my insider friends who have lived privileged lives who are very keen that we defend the BBC and think it's important it survives and (2) my outsider friends who feel (at best) ambivalent about the BBC's survival.

Interesting that the judge notes that it is a "political belief" Robinson holds and then proceeds to call it a "protected characteristic". Even though political beliefs are not in fact protected characteristics under the Equality Act – only philosophical ones are. Somewhat gives the game away.
I suppose it was only a matter of time, once judges decided that transphobia was protected under the Equality Act, before they decided that full blown fascism was (www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crim...).
