We, as a people, really need to open primaries. New York City ranked choice voting was a major reform that made Mamdani’s victory possible. I don’t think the advice should be “maintain your rank and file status so you can vote” it should be “fix your primaries so the best candidate wins”

I get it. I really do.
Just be aware that most states have closed primaries so you won't be able to vote in those. And as you smart folks know, primaries are critical to weed out wackos and bad bills.
