I don't really disagree with the effect of metoo on the level they're talking about
but on ground level metoo has had serious effects. The talks with guys I've had, both personally and professionally, were significantly more inclusive after

There absolutely was a massive social reckoning! It's just that MeToo tried to tackle too many issues with varying degrees of severity at once. Sexual misconduct is not a monolith- it's a bunch of different problems with different solutions.

There absolutely was a massive social reckoning! It's just that MeToo tried to tackle too many issues with varying degrees of severity at once. Sexual misconduct is not a monolith- it's a bunch of different problems with different solutions.

We have a system to elect dedicated representatives, who understand and can represent the values of our communities, to have paid full-time jobs translating those values into legislation. We should not have to follow every stage of a bill and beg them not to screw us over in each specific case!
